Target Hollidazzle Downtown Minneapolis

A fun thing to do during the holiday season is see the hollidazzle parade – especially with the warmer weather.  The 2012 Target Holidazzle will run Friday, November 23 to Sunday, December 23.  Thrilling crowds on Nicollet Mall from 12th Street to 4th Street, this free parade runs Thursday through Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. Brave the cold and watch street side or keep warm in the Holidazzle Hot Seats.

The 2012 Target Holidazzle will run Friday, November 23 – Sunday, December 23.

We generally visit the Local or one of the many dining spots on or around the mall. If you don’t live in Minneapolis odds are you do your holiday shopping at one of the suburban malls. The Shopping downtown is a ton more fun not only because the restaurants are better – the whole feel and vibe is fun. You can see the Macy holiday display, walk the skyways, walk the mall and find cool stuff you may not be able to find at the malls.

If it is cold out – you can see the parade from some of the stores and  skyways over Nicollet mall.  They don’t allow viewing from some of the skyways any longer.  However, Target and some of the stores have good views.  If you remember to dress warm – outside is no big deal.  When we were there a sweatshirt was more than enough – bring your coat and hat though – just in case.

The atmosphere and the Irish coffee at the local is excellent!   The Local is at 9th and Nicollet and a great spot for dinner and to watch the parade.  We park at the Target ramp which puts you at the heart of everything Target, Macy’s, skyways, etc.   It’s also easy in and out.  If you purchase something at Target they will validate parking.

Fun times – you need to check it out.  For other interesting and basically Events in Minneapolis or the top things to do in Minneapolis and the twin cities area this Winter, visit  here; http://todoinminneapolis.com/blog/ or  https://www.facebook.com/ToDoInMinneapolis
